Full Mouth Rehabilitation in Westchester
Patients with extensive decay, missing teeth, and gum disease are good candidates for full mouth rehabilitation. After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Zaky will determine the best way to restore your smile. This may include a root canal, fillings, bridges, dentures, or dental implants.
Root Canal in Westchester
A root canal is recommended if the tooth is severely decayed. The procedure refers to the removal of the diseased pulp in the center of a tooth. The empty space is then cleaned and filled to prevent re-infection. A dental crown is often used if damage is extensive and much of the tooth’s structure is lost.
See one of Dr. Zaky’s associates right away if you experience throbbing pain, persistent tooth sensitivity, bad breath and discomfort. You may need a root canal.
Bridges are appliances that restore missing teeth and fill gaps in the mouth. A typical bridge consists of two crowns (abutment teeth) that hold a replacement tooth (pontic) in the middle. The crowns are capped over teeth on one side or either side of the space. A bridge can also have wing attachments instead of abutment teeth.
Dentures and Implants
Dentures are removable appliances that replace missing teeth. They can be partial (used if you have some teeth remaining) or complete (used if all of your teeth are gone). Dental implants are tiny posts that replace the lost tooth roots. The posts can hold a single crown, a bridge, or a complete denture.
